Notes:
He fought in the Civil war, Co. C, 26 NY. Inf. Captured at Bull Run, Va. May 31, 1862. On January 18, 1904 Charles was severely injured in a train wreck, and died the next day. He was considered a hero, as he stayed with his locomotive to try and slow it down when the collision was imminent.
It seems that when Emma passed away, Amanda came from Rochester to help out with her grand-children.
