Notes: A sergeant, he served in the U.S. Army from 1969-71 with duty in both Vietnam and Cambodia. In August of 1998, he was the recipient of New York State's Conspicuous Service Award by then Governor George Pataki. David was a devoted New York Yankees fan, with a highlight coming Memorial Day Weekend of 2018 when he was recognized as the 'Veteran of the Game' at home plate in Yankee Stadium.
