Our "Mayflower Connection" is listed on the Albro page.

There were Albros, in Busti and Springville, and around Buffalo, Cortland, Syracuse and Ellisburg, NY. These can be found on the Other Albro Page. For many years we could find no apparent ties with any of them. The Albros near Ellisburg, NY. even had some of the same names (Oliver, Oscar, etc.) as ours.
  Now, thanks to DNA testing, we find the Albro families from the Ellisburg, NY. area are in fact ours. There was an Oscar Albro  who died in a Syracuse hospital June 8, 1918. His body was identified by his brother, who was from Ellisburg. His name and age is right. Our DNA trail links to his sisters, Olive Cordelia Albro and Elnora Albro and a brother, Willard Albro. We are 99% sure this is our Oscar.
 The connection to the Busti Albros is very elusive. It must be back in RI. with the first generations of Albro. Daniel Albro was possibly born in RI. around 1788. Some records we have seen say that he was, but, other records from that area and time don't mention him.
  On the Rowe side of the family, we are still searching for the death and burial place of Legrand Rowe.

Find-A-Grave seems easier to use. Maybe I'm just getting used to it. I have made up a page with links to other Cemetary sites. They can be found at Cemetery Sites. If you know of others, or have a favorite, please share it by dropping a note to the webmaster.

I have moved the Chautauqua County site to this server. If you want info about Chautauqua County, New York, there is a lot of information there.

There are some things we suspect, but really have no proof. So, to get them into writing, we have made a Speculation-only page. With things we can say, "What If??"

We are working on the ALBRO family tree as it pertains to these locations and ancestors. We're also researching the following surnames; COBBE, LAFFERTY, ROWE, MONTGOMERY, EAKIN, THOMPSON, STONE, BURROWS, SIMPSON, HERPST, THOMAS, WEAVER and ADAMS in the PA, MD, MICHIGAN, NY, and OH, areas.

We are also researching Doxey, White, Beverley and related families.

We would like to thank the many generous matriarchs of our family. Without whose help and firsthand information, this site would not be possible. Many of the pictures here are irreplaceable, and a very special thanks goes out to those who let us borrow them long enough to have copies made.

Found Bible

A friend of ours has an old family bible they acquired many years ago. It has some names and dates in it. We are trying to find the Wm. Reeves family that it belongs to. The info on the pages can be found here
