A Crystal River resident for the past 25 years, she
was born in Jamestown.
She was employed as a telemarketer with a Tampa
firm and earned an award as top salesperson.
She collected stuffed animals and loved
shopping. Her extended family of staff and residents
at Crystal River Health and Rehabilitation Center
brought her great happiness during the five years
she resided there.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Aubrey Campbell of
Yankeetown, Fla.; her mother, Maybelle Remington of Inglis, Fla.; two
sons: Erwin John ''EJ'' Miller of Hamburg and Jaydee ''JD'' Miller of
Naples, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Simone Heckerhorn of Ocala, Fla.; two
sisters: Sandra Lee Fuller of Ashville and Claire Dorine Albro of
Jamestown; and a stepsister, Carol Meacham of Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Cobb, who died in 2001.

Gordon H. Carlson, 93, of Heritage Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing, formerly
of 140 Aldren Ave, Jamestown, Loyalton of Lakewood, 24 Hunt Rd and Panama–Stedman
Road, died at 10:15 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 15, 2007) in the nursing home.
A native of Jamestown he was born Jan. 20, 1914, the son of Carl and Henny Holmgren
Carlson.
He attended Celoron High School and served in the US Navy during World War II
Mr. Carlson was a wholesale distributor of petroleum at Sinclair Refining Co. for nine
years, Kendall Refining Co for 29 years, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and was confirmed May 28, 1928, John W.
Tiffany Post #53 VFW since 1946 and a member of the Firing Squad since 1948 and the
United Commercial Travelers Since 1948.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who was survived
by a daughter, Annette Y. (Homer) Trout of Jamestown; two sons: Merrill R. (Roberta)
Carlson of Coalinga, Calif., and Gordon L. (Linda) Carlson of Ashville; nine
grandchildren: Denise (Mark) Koerselman of Portland, Tenn., Beth Person and Troy J.
(Kit) Carlson all of Randolph, John and Gloria Trout and Tricia J. (Dan) Albro and
Tammy J. (Larry) Case all of Jamestown, Douglas (Cheri) Carlson of Coalinga, CA
and Michael (Cassie) Carlson of Los Osos, Calif.; 23 great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandson; and a sister Lucille Knickerbocker of Jamestown.
Mr. Carlson was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta M. Warner Carlson, whom
he married Aug. 1, 1936, and who died March 6, 1990.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The
Rev. Norman R. Gauch, pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in
the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 904 W. Third
St, Jamestown, NY,14701.
Coleson, Pauline F.
Pauline F. Coleson, 81, of 1607 West Third St., died at 4:30 a.m. Friday (June 8, 2001)
in WCA Hospital. An area resident most of her life, she was born Jan. 8, 1920 in Titusville,
Pa., the daughter of Luther E. and Emma Jean VanGuilder Davenport. She was a volunteer for
the American Red Cross for several years.
Surviving are three sons: Conrad Coleson of Asheville, David Coleson of West Ellicott,
and Charles Coleson of Jamestown; three daughters: Valerie Furlow and Kathy Coleson, both
of West Ellicott, and Candace Coleson of Asheville; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great
grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Conrad E. Coleson, whom she married Jan. 16,
1936, and who died Aug. 7, 1997; nine sisters: Golda Munns, Beulah Cornell, Jennie
Antonuccio, Mae Noble, Edith Kosht, Florence Davenport, Nina Grossman, Ruby Johnson
and Bessie Wilson; and three brothers, Luther, Lawrence and Clifford Davenport.
A private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. C. Gordon
Bloomburg, visitation pastor of Christ First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Inurnment will be in the cremorial garden of Lakeview Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to the St. Judes Children
Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38101.
