FREWSBURG, NY - David Lauren Wilson, 58, of 613 Bain Road,
died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (May 18, 2002) in the Veterans
Administration Medical Center.
He was born July 7, 1943, in Warren, the son of the late
Edgar O. Wilson and Alberta Jessie Bascom Wilson Wilcox.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam conflict, he
had been employed by Falconer Glass Industries and Laidlaw
Transportation Company before retiring because of disability.
He attended God's Country Chapel and was a member of Samuel Derby Post 556 American
Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He loved to make us all laugh and
you would often see him grin at you and say, "Hey, have you heard this one?" He will
always be loved and will never be forgotten by all who knew him, including the Pelhams
and many others who were like family to him.
He is survived by three sons: Robert Wilson of Kennedy and Kenneth and Charles Wilson,
both of Jamestown; two daughters: Elaine Woodmansee of Jamestown and Tammy Littlefield
of Watts Flats; 11 grandchildren; a greatgrandson; three sisters: Hazel Elaine Samuelson
of Lakewood, Rosemary Susan Dubois of Hawaii and Cheryl Dubois of Jamestown; and four
brothers: Edward W. Peterson of Bemus Point, Michael L. Wilson of Watts Flats, Charles W.
Dubois of Jamestown and Robert J. Dubois of Corry.
Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by a brother, Kenneth A. Wilson.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Powers, Present & Sixbey
Funeral Home. The Rev. Ronald Houghton, Pastor of God's Country Chapel, will officiate.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
