Sampson, Debra M.
Debra M. Sampson, 30, of Kenmore Avenue, Jamestown,
died Thursday (May 3, 2001) at home.
Born Feb. 10, 1971, in Jamestown, she was the daughter
of Ronald William and Beverly Shelters Bushman.
A Chautauqua County resident her entire life, she
attended Cassadaga Valley Central Schools. She was
employed as a nurse's aid at Heritage Village Health Care Center in
Gerry and had also been employed with the resource centers
in Dunkirk and Jamestown both.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband,
Denis Sampson, whom she married Jan. 12, 2001; a daughter, Danielle Albro of
Jamestown; a son, Zander Sampson of Jamestown; a sister, Karen L Hayes of Randolph;
two brothers: Kenneth J. Bushman of Forestville and Kevin B. Bushman of Jamestown.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis L. Bushman, who died June 1,1994.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Jordan Funeral Home,
Sinclairville. The Rev. David B. Diffenderfer, paster of Cassadaga Community Baptist
Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Burnham Hollow Cemetery, Arkwight.
Friends will be recieved from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Sharpe, Helen
Helen Etta Sharpe,77, formerly of 200 Schuyler St., and Lester, N.Y., died at 1:02
p.m. Tuesday (May 26, 1992) in WCA Hospital.
A Jamestown resident since 1984, she was born Aug. 5, 1914, in Brocton, a daughter
of Howard F. and Delia Rowe Albro.
Mrs. Sharpe was a registered nurse for the Department of Public Health in Cassadaga and
Mount Morris for 28 years, retiring in 1972.
She was a member of Zion Covenant Church and a past matron and member for 20 years
of the Mary Jeminson Chapter 417, Order of the Eastern Star, Mount Morris.
She was past noble grand and member for 35 years of the Stockton Star Rebekah Lodge
395, a member of the Past Matron's Club of Mount Morris and the Starlight Rebekah Lodge
180 of Mount Morris and was active in civil defense and was honored in 1958 for active
service. She was credited as establishing the Chautauqua County Practical Nurses
Association.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna Kusneske of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a grandson, Kris
T. Kusneske of Grand Rapids; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lena Albro, Jean
Anderson and Betty Steppe, all of Jamestown; and five brothers, Norman Waterman of
Lakeland, Fla., Howard F. Albro Jr., Robert, Harold, and Donald M. Albro, all of
Jamestown.
She was preceeded in death by two husbands, Theodore R. Strawberg who died in 1942,
and Wilmer Day Sharpe, who died in 1957; and a brother, Oscar B. Albro.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Zion Covanent Church.
The Rev. Eldon H. Johnson, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill
Cemetery, Fredonia.
Visitation will not be observed.
The family suggests memorials may be made to Zion Covanent Church.
Stone, John E.
John E.(Elvin) Stone, 84, of 142 Marion St. formerly of 113
Allendale Ave, Jamestown, died at 3:55 p.m. Sunday
[Oct 15, 1989] in WCA Hospital.
A Jamestown resident since 1924, he was born May
10, 1905, in Smaland, Sweden. a son of Vengt and
Josephine Farm Steen.
Stone was employed at Jamestown Bronze Works for
30 years, retiring in 1970. He was a member of Viking
Lodge and American Association of Retired Persons and
formerly belonged to American Unions of Swedish Singers.
Surviving are three sisters; Ruth Frey, Tina Johansson
and Ingerborg Steen, all of Sweden.
He was preceded in death in death by his wife, the former
Mildred Olsen, whom he married Feb 21, 1942, and who died
May 1, 1985; and 12 brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Lind Funeral
Home. The Rev. Eldon H. Johnson, pastor of Zion Covenant
Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral
home.

Stone - The funeral for John E. Stone, 84 of 142 Marion
St., formerly of 113 Allendale Ave. who died October 15, 1989,
was at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Lind Funeral Home Inc. The
Rev. Eldon Johnson, pastor of Zion Covenant Church officiated.
Burial was at Lake View Cemetery. Bearers were George Donovan,
Anthony Schuck, Andrew Larson, Andrew Kayes, Rodney Dupler,
and Terry Lind. Attending from away was Patricia Olsen, Mr.
and Mrs. Andrew Schuck, all of Rochester; Mr. and Mrs. George
Donovan of Canton, N.Y.
