Gerald William ‘‘Bill’’ Harrington, 81, of Inverness,
Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, in Hospice House of
Lecanto.
He was born Aug. 11, 1926, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son
of Gerald T. and Margaret Helgren Harrington.
A veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea, he was a
retired crane operator for the Chautauqua County Highway
Department. He was a member of the Elk Lodge No. 2782 of Gulf Coast, Ala. and the
Henry Mosher American Legion Post No. 623 of Falconer, N.Y. He is survived by his
wife, Eileen B. Harrington of Inverness, Fla.; stepson, Steven Grobaski and wife,
Linda of Jamestown; stepdaughter, Arlen(e) Main and husband, George of Lakewood,
N.Y.; brother Roger Harrington and wife, Helen of Corpus Christi, Texas; four
sisters: Carolyn Wetzstein of Inverness, Fla., Florence Wetzstein of Jamestown,
Jean Latucca and husband, John of New Mexico and Pauline Paduano and husband,
Norman of Jamestown, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5
great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Harrington; and two
brothers-in-laws: Richard and Raymond Wetzstein.
