LaBarte, Terry Lee

Terry Lee LaBarte, 59, of 3040 Joyce St., died Tuesday
(Aug. 16, 2005) in the Medical University of South Carolina
at Charleston.
He was born Nov. 16, 1945, in Jamestown, the son of the
late Robert and Alice Mildred Jolly Farrell. A veteran of
the United States Navy, he served in the Vietnam War. Prior
to retirement in November 2004, he was employed by Cooper
Hard Tools for 39 years. He was a member of the Aldersgate
United Methodist Church and the Elks Club and was former commander of the American
Legion Post 15. Surviving are his wife, Diane Raymond LaBarte; two daughters: Melissa
LaBarte and Christine Worrell; a grandson, James Worrell; and two sisters: Alice Mae
Hollowell of Jamestown and Linda Sheilds of Las Vegas. The funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Friday in the chapel at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home, 221 Broad St., Sumter.
The Rev. Louis Jamison will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park
Cemetery. Friends will be received at the family home on Joyce Street and also from 6
to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
