Eccles, Autumn Bess 
  Autumn Bess Eccles, 64, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday 
(Nov. 22, 2011), in her home surrounded by her family.
  A lifelong area resident, she was born Oct. 11, 1947, 
in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Adrian D. and 
Hazel Applin Walker.
  Autumn was a 1966 graduate of Jamestown High School, 
and had been employed by the Little Theater in Jamestown 
since 1985. She was also an independent Avon representative for 35 years.
  She was a member of the First Church of God in Jamestown, having served as church 
treasurer and had served on the Board of Christian Education.
  In earlier years. Autumn had served as den mother for both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts 
having served in several offices and was a member of the C.C. Ring Elementary and 
Washington Middle School PTA.
  Autumn enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Harold J. Eccles, whom she married March 19, 1967, at the 
Stockton Community Church; a son, John W. (Brenda) Eccles of Jamestown; a daughter, 
Barbara Ann (Matthew) Jones of Tower Hill, Ill.; eight grandchildren: Caleb, Abigail, 
Hannah, Levi, Esther, Ruthann, Reuben and Sarah Jones, all of Tower Hill Ill.; and a 
sister, Lorraine Munger of Largo, Fla.
  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Adrian Walker Jr. in 2001.
  The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Church of God, 291 Falconer St., 
Jamestown. The Rev. Mervin R. Lee Jr. and the Rev. Myron M. Myers will officiate. 
Burial will be in Levant Cemetery.
  Friends will be received by the family from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral 
Home.

Eddy, Patricia A.
  FORESTVILLE - Patricia A. Eddy, 71, a tax collector for the village of Silver Creek, 
where she worked for four years, died Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the TLC-Lake Shore 
Hospital in Irving, N.Y.
  She was born July 7, 1940, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of the late Edgar and 
Margaret P. (Reinacher) Foster.
  Patricia also did tax collecting for the town of Villenova for a year, and she 
worked for about 20 years for Petri Bakery in Silver Creek doing production 
scheduling and shipping.
Patricia was a member of the South Dayton United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Elmer M. Eddy of Forestville, N.Y., whom she married on 
September 3, 1960; two children: Kathleen P. (Thomas) Lancaster of Cassadaga, N.Y. 
and Terry E. (Tina) Eddy of Fayetteville, N.C., five grandchildren, one great-grandson
and a sister, Linda Taylor of Richmond, Va..
  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Hills 
Funeral Chapel, 478 Balcom Corners, South Dayton, N.Y. Pastor Bethany D. Ruane 
of the South Dayton United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be 
in the Villenova Cemetery in the town of Villenova.
  Visitation will be held at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m.

Eddy, William B. “Ben” 
August 29, 2012
  William B. "Ben" Eddy, 78, of Happytown Road, Bear Lake, Pa., died at his home on 
Friday, Aug. 24, 2012.
  He was born in Bear Lake, Pa., on Sept. 16, 1933, a son of the late John and Olive 
Johnson Eddy.
  Ben was raised and educated in Bear Lake and attended Panama High School. He had 
been a farmer his entire life. He worked on his parents' farm before he eventually 
owned and operated his own dairy farm in Bear Lake. He retired from farming in 1999.
  He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, boxing and football, especially the New Orleans Saints.
  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Naomi Eddy; 
a sister, Phyllis Ardell Eddy Pintagro; and three brothers: Floyd, Johnny and Jerome 
Eddy.
  Ben is survived by his wife, Helen G. Yoder Eddy, whom he married Feb. 26, 1971, in Bear 
Lake, Pa.; a daughter, Icey Benedict of Corry, Pa.; two stepsons: Robert Donnell and his 
wife, Sheila, of Columbus, Pa., and Brian Donnell and his wife, Tricia, of Sugar Grove, 
Pa. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Tessa, Amanda, Joe, Ben and Faith; a 
great-grandson, Ryley; and one niece, Mary Sarno and her husband, Tony.
  Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Bear Lake Fire Hall, Center 
St., Bear Lake, Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Lynn Cirigliano 
will officiate. A dinner will follow the service.
  Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center 
St., Corry, Pa.

Endersen, Dolores Ann Carlson 
  In loving memory of Dolores Ann Carlson Endersen, Jamestown High School class 
of 1950. Dee departed this life on May 12, 2012.
  Born in Jamestown, N.Y., June 7, 1932, She died in Lakewood, Colorado, where she 
lived with her husband, five children, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
 Final resting place will be in Sunset Hill cemetary July 26, 2012.

Erickson, Agnes L. “Sandy” 
  Agnes L. "Sandy" Erickson, 91, formerly of 143 Fairview Ave., Jamestown died Friday, 
April 27, 2012, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
  She was born July 9, 1920 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Merle and Alice 
Washburg Harrington.
  Prior to retirement, Agnes worked at the former Chautauqua Hardware. She enjoyed 
making and selling crafts, quilting, embroidery and sewing. She also liked to feed 
the birds and other animals, her flower garden, and making candy and cookies for 
her grandkids.
  Surviving are two daughters: Tonya (Buzzy) Nelsen of Jamestown, and Terry L. Brandow 
of Lakewood; seven grandchildren, Tammy, Jamie, Lindsay, and Cody Nelsen; Bobby, 
Michael and Randy Brandow; 11 great-grandchildren: Cassandra Foster, Shawn Nelsen, 
Anthony and Dominic Weber, Justin Johnston, Lilyanna Fox, Lilly, Jonathan, Abbee, 
Tristen, Brandow and Mya Peterson; four great-great grandchildren; three sisters: 
Marcella Waltz of Lockhaven, Pa., Marlene (Donald) Kolstee of Busti, and Arlene 
(Bertram) Anderson of Micco, Fla.
  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne E. "Swede" 
Erickson, whom she married Nov. 29, 1940, and who died Feb. 20, 1987; a son, Gary 
LaVerne Erickson; a granddaughter, Teresa Nelsen; and two sisters: Ruby McClaran 
and Lagressa Stimson.
  The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home.
 Burial will be in Levant Cemetery.
  The family will receive friends for one prior to the service Monday in the funeral home.

Erickson, George C. 
  Nov. 26, 2011 - George C. Erickson of the Town of Tonawanda, N.Y., loving husband 
of Patricia (Hanson) Erickson; beloved father of Deborah (Thomas) Ireland, Randall 
(Jeannine), Lori (Thomas) Keane, Amy (Daniel) Hartman and Mark (Adam) Erickson; 
grandfather of Roddy, Melinda, Justin, Benjamin, Thomas, Emily, Ryan and Shea; 
brother of Robert (Joanne) Erickson; brother-in-law of Kenyon (Vicky) Hanson and 
the late Joyce (Andrew) Passinger; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
  Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lester H. Wedekindt Inc.

Erwin, Richard E. "Dick"
  Richard E. ''Dick'' Erwin, 82, passed away Saturday, Oct 29, 2011.
  Dick was born May 29, 1929, in Cherry Creek, N.Y., and was a farmer/developer in 
Frewsburg, N.Y., retiring to Bradenton in 1982. He returned to Bradenton after 
a short stay in Lafayette, Ala., in 2010.
  He is predeceased by his parents, Floyd and Ester (Lampson) Erwin; and brother, 
Gerald Erwin.
  He is survived by his wife and partner of 62 years, Charolette (Pierce); a 
sister, Carolyn (Wright), Fredonia, N.Y.; six children: Robert Bradenton, Fla., 
Dale, Gerry, N.Y., Patricia (Jelderks), Bradenton, Fla., Thomas, Frewsburg, N.Y., 
Lee, Frewsburg, N.Y., Linda, Bradenton, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and nine 
great-grandchildren.
No local services will be held. Services will be held in New York at a later
date.

Evans, Duane P. “Augy” Jr.
  Duane P. "Augy" Evans Jr., 49, of 3844 Pine St., Greenhurst, died unexpectedly 
Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, in his home.
  An area resident since 1977, he was born Feb. 17, 1962, in Mount Clemens, Mich., the 
son of Duane P. "Pete" Evans Sr. and the late Janice P. Schemerhorn Evans. He served 
in the U.S. Navy SEABEES from August of 1980 until August of 1984.
  Augy had been a truck driver for more than 25 years, most recently working for White 
Line Express.
He always enjoyed the outdoors and motorcycling, but his passion was fishing, both on 
his boat in Chautauqua Lake and with his father at the Dredge and the Allegheny 
River. More recently his canine friend, Sundance was always at his side.
  Augy will be remembered for his open, generous heart who was always giving to others.
  In addition to his father of Conneaut, Ohio, surviving are two sisters: Rhonda P. 
(Billie) Johnson and Lynn C. (David) Austin, both of Sinclairville; grandmother, Arlene 
R. Shemerhorn of Gerry, N.Y.; two nieces: Layla D. (Mark) Knight and LaToyia L. 
Knight; and a stepson, Jason Eastman of California. Augy was known as 'Uncle Beep Beep' 
to great-nephews: Masen Carlson, Jorden Carlson and Javonte Hackett and great-niece, 
Mikayla Carlson.
  He was preceded in death by his mother on Sept. 23, 1997.
  A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. 
Donald E. Ray will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
  Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Saturday.
 Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, 
Jamestown, NY 14701 to aid in the adoption of Sundance; or to a charity of choice.

Exford, Duane C.
LEON, N.Y. - Duane C. Exford, 68, of Leon-New Albion Road, passed away Thursday, June 
14, 2012, at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
  He was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of the late Harold and Caroline 
(Gould) Exford.
  On Feb. 4, 1967, he married the former Linda Meyers who survives.
 Mr. Exford worked at Carnation/Nestle's Milk Plant in South Dayton, N.Y., for more 
than 22 years. He then worked for NYS DOT at Conewango, N.Y., for 10 years.
  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed gardening, cutting wood and 
traveling.
  Besides his wife of 45 years, he is survived by a son, Brian Exford of Leon, N.Y.; 
a daughter, Alicia (John) Zmuda of Greenville, S.C.; two grandchildren: Boone and 
Liam Exford; and a sister, Bonnie (Lee) LeBarron of Ruskin, Fla.
  He was predeceased by a brother, Myron Exford; and a sister, Coralyn Colvinbach.
  In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services or flowers.
