Yager, Paul Frederick
  Paul Frederick Yager, 74, formerly of Frewsburg, 
N.Y., passed away Sunday (Dec 4, 2011) following 
a long illness.
  He was born Oct. 25, 1937, the only child of 
the late Elmer and Elsie Patterson Yager. He was a 
graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology.
  Paul worked as an engineer at Blackstone/Valeo 
before starting his own consulting firm, AD 
Engineering. For many years, he was an active member of the Frewsburg 
Volunteer Fire Department and served as a leader of the Carroll Rough 
Riders 4-H Club. He spent many weekends taking his daughter to horse shows.
  An avid reader, he also enjoyed hunting, model trains, technology, and 
woodworking/remodeling. After retiring, Paul moved to Grantsboro, N.C. 
where he enjoyed riding the ferries, visiting lighthouses, and working at 
Candles 'N' More, a store he co-owned with longtime companion Mary 
Connelly. He knew how to appreciate life and those around him, and nobody stayed 
a stranger for long.
 Surviving are his daughters: Kimberly (David) Foster and Elizabeth Yager; his
grandchildren and greatest joy: Adrienne Foster and Paul Thomas Foster; and 
his mother-in-law, Charlotte Burnap.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Burnap Yager.
  A celebration of Paul's life will be held in Spring 2012. Memorials may be 
made to Hospice of Pamlico County in Bayboro, N.C., the Frewsburg Fire 
Department, or the Myers Memorial Library.

Friends of Paul F. Yager, formerly of Frewsburg, N.Y., are invited to join his family

Born October 1937, Paul died in North Carolina, on Dec. 4, 2011. He was active in the 
Frewsburg Fire Department, a leader of the Carroll Rough Rider's 4-H Club, and a member 
of SCA.

Yeager, Budd Robert 
August 29, 2012
  Budd Robert Yeager, 79, of Ashville, N.Y., passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at 
his home.
He was born July 20, 1933, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late George and 
Winnie Maloy Yager.
  Dad lived in Watts Flats most of his life. He married Mable "Gabby" Stevens on 
Nov. 23, 1957.
  He was retired from Red Star Trucking and was the former highway superintendent for 
the town of Harmony, and a member of Lakewood Legion 1286, Lakewood Rod & Gun, 
International Brotherhood of Teamsters AFL-CIO 649, an active member of the Watts 
Flats United Methodist Church, life member of the Panama Fire Department for 45 
years, a sergeant of the U.S. Army in the Korean conflict, and a active supporter 
of Chautauqua County 4-H programs.
  He is survived by his wife, Gabby; and three children: Roberta Edwards, Robin (Tom) 
Kestler, Jerry (Shawn) Yeager; grandchildren: Danielle (Corry) Shauman, Brigit (Kenny) 
Drake, Kyle and Heather Yeager, Erick Anderson his dad Kevin, Willie Eschwie, and 
Danny Edwards; and great-grandchildren: Kayla, Hannah and Parker Shauman, Kendall 
and Jacob Drake and Layla Anderson. Also many loving nieces and nephews who loved 
their Uncle Budd. Many close family and friends, and special neighbors, and special 
thanks to Tim and Terri Stahl and Scot, Julie, Tony and Roo Eggleston.
  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Claude, Roland and 
Leo Yeager; sisters: Adilaide Hodges and Gertrude Walberg.
  Budd enjoyed distributing equipment from the church loan closet, working church 
dinners and maintaining the church building. He responded to many fire and first-aid 
calls. In earlier years, Budd enjoyed logging with horses, was a self-employed cattle 
hauler, and enjoyed racing at Roll-O-Bowl Speedway. Budd enjoyed watching and 
supporting his children and grandchildren in their music and sports activities. He was 
a loving family man.
  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at the Watts 
Flats United Methodist Church, with Pastor Warren VanDewark, pastor of the church, 
officiating.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Spitzer Funeral 
Home, Clymer, N.Y., and for one hour prior to the service Friday at church.

Young, Beatrice Avis Francisco
  Beatrice Avis Francisco Young, 87, of Emeritus of Lakewood, formerly of Busti-Stillwater
Road, Southwestern Drive, and Webster, Fla., died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, in her 
home.
  She was born April 26, 1924, in Busti, the daughter of the late William C. and 
Katherine "Kitty" Van Ord Francisco.
  Beatrice was a 1942 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a member of the JHS 
Alumni Association and the 100 Member Club. During World War II, she worked as a welder 
at Dahlstrom Metallic Door in Jamestown. After that, she and her husband helped 
with the operation of Francisco's General Store in Busti. For 30 years, she a school 
bus driver for Southwestern Central School, retiring in 1981.
  She enjoyed camping and traveling to Canada, and during a 1970 vacation to 
Florida, bought property, selling her house in Busti in 1990 and moving to 
Croom A Coochee, Fla. Her summers were spent with her family in Busti.
  She loved to knit and crochet, and was a member of the New York State Association 
of Retirees, Busti Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the New York State Federation 
of Home Bureaus Inc., Busti Home Makers, Busti Historical Society, National Association 
of Senior Friends, National Association for Family and Community Education Inc., 
Busti-Lakewood Golden Agers, Busti Federated Church, and Busti United Methodist 
Women's Association. While in Florida, she was a member of the Croom A Coochee 
Fire Department, Community Club, Baptist Church, Home Makers, Lake Panasoffkee 
Home Makers, and was a Florida Hospice volunteer.
  Surviving are two sons, Craig A. (Jennie Marie) Young of Lakewood, and Tim A. (Candy) 
Young of Busti; three grandchildren: Christopher A. (Heather) Young of Lillington, 
N.C.; Patrick C. Young of Rochester, N.Y., and Sarah K. (Mark) Garrett of Busti; three 
great-grandchildren: Thomas Aaron Young and Devin J. Knight, both of Lillington, N.C., 
and Joseph Patrick Garrett of Busti; and a sister, Gertrude "Trudy" (Ralph) Sandquist 
of Busti.
  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence D. 
"Clare" Young, whom she married June 6, 1943, and who died July 31, 1997; and a brother,
Alfred Francisco in 1983.
  The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Busti Federated Church. 
  The Rev. Lee O'Brien, pastor of the church and the Rev. Roy Ferguson, pastor of 
Busti Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Busti Cemetery.
  The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.

Young, Betty L.
  STEAMBURG - Betty L. Young, 81, of Railroad Avenue, Steamburg, 
passed away at 11:33 p.m., Sunday (Nov. 13, 2011), in WCA Hospital.
  She was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Salamanca, the daughter of the 
late Josef and Mae Letson Senn.
  She attended Salamanca High School. In addition to being a 
homemaker, she had worked as a machinist at the former Salamanca 
Woolen Mills and had owned and operated a ceramic shop in 
Steamburg. She was a member of the Steamburg United Methodist 
Church, past member of the Coldspring Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary 
and was a former EMT with the Coldspring Rescue Squad.
She is survived by three sons: Richard W. "Buck" Young and his wife, Myrna and 
Jack A. Young and his wife, Shirley, all of Steamburg, and Walter A. Young and 
his wife, Bonnie of Meadville, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by her husband Richard W. Young on Jan. 20, 2003.
  The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the VanRensselaer 
& Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph, from where funeral services will be 
held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011. The Rev. Rodney Mileham, pastor of 
the East Randolph United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be 
in the Steamburg Cemetery.

Youngren, Bonnie E.
  Bonnie E. Youngren, 85, formerly of Buffalo St. Ext. passed away at 4:05 a.m. Friday 
(Jan. 20, 2012) in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was the 
widow of Charles E. Youngren, who died Sept. 17, 2003. Arrangements will be announced 
by the Lind Funeral Home.
