CASSADAGA - Lynn Joseph Jackson Sr., 59, of Cassadaga, went
to heaven on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012. Longtime partner of
JoAnne Kohler; separated husband of Julie Jackson; father
of Tami Peck, Chris Richmond, Jody Steen, Kathleen Gates,
Lynn J. Jr., Joseph and Charlie Jackson; grandfather of 11;
brother of Mae Butler, Gladys Lanphere, Penny Greenman and
Ralph Jackson.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville.
Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Johnson, A. Merle
August 31, 2012
The Johnson family is saddened to announce the passing of A. Merle Johnson, who died
on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, in Bennington, Vt., after a brief illness.
He was born in Logan, Ohio, July 14, 1929, the son of Jacob and Effie Lock Johnson. His
family moved to Jamestown, N.Y., from Ohio in 1942, and he completed his education
there, graduating from Jamestown High School in 1948.
He began his 51-year career in furniture manufacturing working part-time
and summers at Crawford Furniture Company in Jamestown, and became a
full-time employee there after graduation. He continued his education by
participating in woodworking seminars at the University of Michigan, at the University
of Wisconsin, the Forest Products Laboratories at Madison, Wis., and Industrial
Relations at both Wisconsin and Cornell Universities.
He married Mary Horan on Oct. 28, 1950, and shortly thereafter he left to serve in
the U.S. Army, during the Korean War with the Signal Corps, until 1953 when he returned
to Jamestown and Crawford Furniture Co., where he worked as draftsman, department
supervisor, product engineer and plant engineer.
In 1967, the Johnsons moved to Bennington, Vt., where Merle worked at Hale Company
as superintendent from 1967 to 1969. He worked for H.T. Cushman as a production manager
until 1971 and then went to work for Green Mountain Furniture as production manager
and finally as president.
In 1980, he was hired by Ethan Allen Inc. as a plant manager in their Boonville, N.Y.
facility, where he worked until 1988 when he left to become plant manager, at the
birthplace of Ethan Allen, that plant located in Beecher Falls, Vt. Mr. Johnson worked
there as not only the plant manager, but in the following years became the general
manager, northeast region in case goods manufacturing, overseeing five plants,
until his retirement in l999, when he and Mary returned to Bennington.
He was a past director and vice president of New York State Woodsmens Corporation and
past director of Empire State Forest Product Association. He was longtime member of
the American Legion Post in Jamestown, N.Y,, in Boonville, N.Y., and in Bennington.
Vt. He was also a member of the Bennington Lions Club.
Mr. Johnson was a wise, kind, loving man who took great pride in his work and his
family. Nothing pleased him more than learning of the accomplishments of his children
and grandchildren and spending time with them. He was so thrilled to have a grandson
and great-grandson named after him. He enjoyed gardening and was a great cook,
specializing in wonderful breakfasts and great soups. He and Mary loved traveling,
they bought their first time share in Myrtle Beach in 1977 and every year thereafter
have held an annual family reunion there. They also traveled every winter, for a
couple of months, to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where they met and enjoyed the friendship
of people from all over the United States and Canada. He will be greatly missed by
his family and so many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Virginia Lemon of Springfield, Ohio;
and his brother, C. Robert Johnson of Warren, Pa.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary of 61 years. Other survivors include his
two sisters: Thelma Milton and Norma Ortendahl of Jamestown, N.Y.; his three daughters:
Deborah Cutler and her husband, Richard, his daughter Stephanie Cheevers, and her
husband, Charles, and his daughter, Leslie Gildersleeve and her husband, Lee;
seven grandchildren: Matt Cutler and his wife, Katie, Mike Cutler, Catie Cheevers,
Jenny Cheevers, Alison Cheevers, CJ Cheevers, and Danlee Austin Gildersleeve; his
great-grandsons, Jackson Austin and Logan Patrick Cutler; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A reception to celebrate Merle's life will be held
at the Mount Anthony Country Club on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Interment will be in the Lake View Cemetery in Jamestown, N.Y., at the convenience
of the family.

Johnson, Charles F. “Charlie”
Charles F. "Charlie" Johnson, 97, of 38 Lucy Lane, Celoron, N.Y., passed away at 7:10
a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 23, 2011), in his home.
An area resident for most of his life, he was born July 23, 1914. in Huron, Ohio, a
son of the late Charles D. and Capitola LaFaver Johnson.
Before his retirement, he was employed by the former Nelson's Department Store and
worked as a salesman in the rug department of the former Bigelow's Department Store.
He was a member of the Ingjald Lodge 65 Independent Order of the Vikings,
the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Jamestown Rotary Club. He also was a
volunteer at WCA Hospital for over 23 years until the age of 90. He truly
enjoyed his years at WCA Hospital and was honored for his many hours of service.
He will be remembered as a loving and caring man who enjoyed entertaining
his many friends and family in his home. He was also an avid golfer and
enjoyed his poker club friends.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marilyn Limberg, whom he married Oct.
19, 1982; two stepdaughters: Shelley (Fred) Croscut of Sherman, N.Y., and
Sharen Lawrence of Marco Island, Fla.; three stepgrandchildren: Heather Croscut
of Chautauqua, N.Y., Brent Croscut of Peru, N.Y., and Stacey Croscut of Plattsburgh,
N.Y.; and two step great-grandchildren: Addison and Kayla Croscut.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, the former
Dorothy Franzen Johnson; and a sister, Fern Hallin.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home.
The Rev. Violet A. Davidson, pastor of the Lakewood United Methodist
Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Johnson, Emma Jane
Emma Jane Johnson, 92, formerly of 2664 Palm Road, died at 3:38 a.m. Thursday
(Nov. 24, 2011), in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
She was born May 15, 1919, in Jamestown, the daughter of Lindo and Louise
Parnell Matthews.
She was a 1937 graduate of Jamestown High School, where she was a member of
Kappa Alpha Tau Chapter of the National Honor Society. She also attended Virginia
State College in Petersburg, Va., and in 1959 became a licensed practical nurse.
Prior to retiring, she had been employed as a licensed practical nurse at the former
Jamestown General Hospital. She later did private duty nursing, and also sold Stanley
Home Products.
A member of the Levant Wesleyan Church, she had attended its Sunday School, and
was a member of the Ladies Prayer Group and the Best Years Prayer Group. She loved
to cook and was known for her homemade bread. Her hobbies included bowling and swimming.
Surviving are three daughters: Bonnie Thompson and Kathie Neal of Jamestown, and
Karen Neal of Farrell, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five
great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Johnson, whom she married
Feb. 14, 1941, and who died Dec. 14, 1991; a son, Dr. Robert G. Johnson Jr.,
N.D. on Sept. 12, 2005; three grandchildren: Janella Thompson on April 14,
1989, Kory M.C. Johnson on Sept. 11, 2004, and Janine Leeper on Dec. 17, 2004;
three sisters: Elvin Thompson, Mary Louise Young, and Alice Allen; and by a
brother, James Matthews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home.
Pastor Howard Garver of the Levant Wesleyan Church, will officiate. Burial
will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Johnson, Earl E.
Earl E. Johnson, 73, of Oswego, Ill., at rest Nov. 23, 2011, at Rush
Copley Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of June; and loving father of Dawn Johnson, Amber (Joe)
Bohannon and Sarah (Larry) Johnsen. Dear brother of Gordon (Carolyn)
Johnson, Linda (the late Terry) Mentley and the late Allan Johnson.

Earl was a proud veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He
retired from Lucent Technologies after over 20 years, and enjoyed golfing,
traveling with his family genealogy and reading, especially history.

Johnson, Joyce L.

On Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, Joyce L. Johnson left to join the other angels. She
passed with all her family and loved ones around her at her Cassadaga home.
Joyce was born on Sept. 21, 1931, on the family farm in Cassadaga. She was a lifetime
resident of Chautuaqua County.
Joyce left behind her loving husband of 62 years, Richard K. Johnson; a son, Richard
K. Johnson Jr. (April); and a daughter, Kathie D. Chaffee (Bion). She is also survived
by her grandsons: Kenneth R. Johnson (Jason), Christopher D. Johnson and Jonathan L.
Easton (Catherine); her granddaughter, Shari J. Robbins (Keith); and her great-grandchildren:
Brenden C. and MacKenzie N. Robbins, Chelsea M. Johnson (Renee) and Donald H.
Easton. Surviving also are her brothers: Donald Bemus and Gilbert Bemus; her sister,
Jean Stubbs; and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce is predeceased by her mother, Cecil Bemus; her father, Louis Bemus; and her
brother, Louis Bemus. Joyce will be forever missed by her family and friends. She
was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Johnson, Leonard C.
Leonard C. Johnson, 90, formerly of Fairmount Avenue and East Fifth Street, died at
1:10 p.m. Wednesday (Jan 2, 2013), in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born March 6, 1922, in Jamestown, the son of Leonard C. Sr. and Lillian
Swanger Johnson.
A 1940 graduate of Jamestown High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He participated in the invasion of Normandy, and received the Medaille Du Jubile, which
was commissioned by the Regional Council of Normandy to recognize Allied soldiers for
restoring freedom to France.
Prior to retiring, he had owned and operated Jamestown Orthopedic Center, and in
earlier years was employed by the Sylvania Corp. in Warren, Pa.
A communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, he was a member, former president,
and current board member of the Jamestown Musicians Association, a life member of the
Jamestown Coin Club, a life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Jamestown Lodge
1681, a member of Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and the American Federation of Musicians
Local 134. He was also a former member of Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion and
John W. Tiffany Post 53, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed fishing, and loved music, collecting antiques, and going to garage sales.
Surviving are a son, Mark S. (Lynda) Johnson of Warren, Pa.; two daughters: Linda
D. Johnson of Jamestown, and Beverly C. Check of Warren, Pa.; two grandchildren: Benjamin
(Buffy) Check of Warren, Pa., and Lisa (Matt) Gellner of Cincinnati, Ohio; a
great-grandchild, Dylan Gellner of Cincinnati, Ohio; and several step-grandchildren
and step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic
Church. Monsignor Joseph Dowdell, pastor, will be celebrant.
Burial will be in Soldiers Circle of Lake View Cemetery.

Johnson, Margaret Ann (Ramaekers)
Margaret Ann (Ramaekers) Johnson died May 22, 2012, at the age of 89 in Hanover, N.H.
after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She died peacefully after receiving the last rites in the Hanover Terrace nursing home
surrounded by family.
She was born Jan. 30, 1923, to William J. and Colette (Connally) Ramaekers in Greeley,
Neb., the oldest of five siblings (Carroll, Jerry, Edward and Mary).
The family farmed in Nebraska until the end of the Depression when they moved east
to work in the Jamestown area in 1940, settling initially in Bemus Point. On April 30,
1948, she married Richard M. Johnson, who predeceased her on March 12, 1999, after
more than 50 years of marriage.
They settled in in Jamestown and remained there until 1973 when they moved to Coral
Springs, Fla. In 1988 they both retired as nurses in Brooksville, Fla.
Throughout her life she was a devout Catholic and was always active in her local
church. In Jamestown that church was Ss. Peter & Paul. She worked door to door collecting
for various charities, including the March of Dimes, Unicef, and Muscular Dystrophy.
In Florida she volunteered at St. Anthony's in the pregnancy clinic and in the food
pantry. She had a fierce belief in the dignity of all people and was outspoken about
race issues long before it was fashionable.
She loved animals, especially our St. Bernard-Collie mix "Mac" who she told stories
about well into her 80s. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Mark C. Johnson of Weathersfield, Vt. and David M. Johnson
of Brighton, Tenn., her daughters-in-law, Holly A. Johnson and Cindy L. Johnson; her
grandchildren, Brian M. Johnson, Mark D. Johnson, Kaitlyn A.A. Johnson, Kristina M.
Johnson, and Kate (Johnson) Onsgard; her granddaughter-in-law, Masoda Johnson, her
great-grandson, Austin Johnson; her grandson-in-law, Joshua Onsgard; and several nieces,
nephews, and cousins. Her brother Edward Ramaekers of Huntington Beach, Calif. is her
lone surviving sibling.
A memorial service will be held in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
on Friday, June 22, 2012, where she will be buried alongside Richard. She would much
rather have a donation to your favorite charity than flowers, if you are so moved.
Johnson, Patricia A.

Patricia A. Johnson, 65, of Jamestown, passed away Monday (Aug, 27, 2012), in
her home.
She was born Dec, 11, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late
Caroline Hutchinson.
She was a graduate of Southwestern High School, and was employed by Big Lots in Warren.
Pat enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and camping at the Top-A-Rise
Camp Ground in Kennedy.
Surviving are her husband, Roderick C. Johnson, whom she married April 10, 1976, in
Kennedy; three sons: Lon (Denise) Johnson, Mark Johnson (Ada Santiago) and Craig Johnson
(Rachelle Pratt), all of Jamestown; four grandchildren: Alyson, Michael, Amanda and
Andrew Johnson; a brother, Jack Ratzel of Albany, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister: Eleanor Johnson; two brothers:
Leonard and Alfred Hutchinson.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Cathy Smith,
chaplain of Chautauqua County Hospice, will officiate. Burial will be in Valley View
Cemetery, Ellington.
Friends will be received by the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Johnson, Ruth E.
WESTFIELD - Ruth Evelyn (Wynkoop) Snow Johnson, age 89, of Spring Street,
Westfield, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at St. Vincent Health Center,
Erie, Pa.
Ruth was born on January 26, 1922, in Big Run, Pa., the daughter of the
late James and Twila (Long) Wynkoop.
She moved to the Jamestown and Falconer areas as a youth and graduated from
Jamestown Public Schools. She had lived in Bradenton, Fla., for 12 years and
spent some time in Long Beach, Calif., where she worked for the World War II
war effort at the Long Beach Naval Yards as a welder. She enjoyed a long career
in data processing having been employed by the former Ajax in Westfield and
retired from Niagara Therapy in Brocton as a data processing supervisor. Being
the mother of two veterans, she was a member of the John W. Rogers Post 327
VFW Auxiliary. She was also a former member of the WOTM 517, both of
Westfield. She had operated a taxi service in Westfield for several years. She
was an avid bowler and was a member of the Professional Women's Bowling Association
and had participated in many pro-am tournaments. A lover of country music, Ruth
was an accomplished guitar and bass player and had played in Real Country with
Lloyd Wright and in Rusty Strings with Bill Reid and Don Briggs.
She is survived by her two sons: Dan M. (Louanne) Snow and Fred E. Snow, both
of Westfield, N.Y., her grandchildren, Debbie Patch of Jamestown, N.Y., Randi
Snow and James (Amanda) Spencer, both of Pittsburgh, Pa., and her great-grandchildren,
Nickolas Patch of Denver, Colo., and Samantha and Lillie Spencer of Pittsburgh,
Pa.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred M. Snow, her second
husband, Bud Johnson, her brother, Clifford Wynkoop, and her sister, Alvera
Snow.
No calling hours will be observed. At Ruth's request, all services will
be private, with burial in Portland Evergreen Cemetery.

Johnston, Robert L.
Robert L. Johnston, 91, of Panama, N.Y. passed away October 28, 2011, at the
Corry Manor Nursing Home in Corry, Pa.
Born October 6, 1920, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Walter and Mary (Pearl) Johnston,
Robert lived most of his life in the Panama area.
Robert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Geraldine (Cornish) Johnston,
who was at his side at the time of his passing. They were married February 11,
1946, in Florida.
Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive him.
His parents, Walter and Mary Johnston, and two brothers, Kenneth and Forest
Johnston, preceded him in death.
A devoted husband, Robert visited his wife daily at Corry Manor until moving
there himself in September. A retired U.S. Postal Service rural letter carrier
and dairy farmer, he never permitted bad weather from deterring his visits
to Geraldine. Employees of the manor were impressed by his determination and
loyalty.
A veteran of World War II, Robert served as a sergeant in the United States
Air Force. He was a longtime member of the Bear Lake United Methodist Church,
where he served in several capacities over the years. He was involved in
many community activities including the Bear Lake Fair Committee. In later
years, Robert and Geraldine enjoyed wintering in Florida, visiting family
and friends and excursions with the Panama Senior Citizens.
At Robert's request, there will be no memorial service at this time.
Jones, Ada Charlene
Ada Charlene Jones, 85, of Tanglewood Manor, formerly of 827 Washington St.,
died at 11:58 a.m. Monday (Dec. 5, 2011), in WCA Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1926, in High Point, N.C., the daughter of Collins and
Ayerbelle Vaughn Mitchell.
Prior to retiring in 1991, she was employed in the dietary department of WCA
Hospital. In earlier years, she had worked at National Worsted Mills, Bigelow's
Department Store and Ali's Valet Cleaners.
She was a member of Blackwell Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, where she had been
active with the Stewardship Board. She was also a former member of Chadakoin Elks
Lodge 718 and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Charlene was always a happy-go-lucky person who enjoyed meeting and visiting
with others. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden, yard sales and flea
markets.
She is survived by a daughter, Marlene J. Blandon of Decatur, Ga.; two
grandchildren: Shawn Jones and Novella (Sylvester) Sims; seven great-grandchildren:
Tremayne (Samantha) Andrews, Bianca and Brittany Watson, Mya Jones, Ein Brown,
and Syniah and Sylvester Sims, two great-great-grandchildren: Jaden and Kellan
Andrews, all of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Mary Lee Cunningham of Jamestown; a
brother, Frank (Janie) Mitchell of Atlanta, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jones Jr., whom she married July 3,
1947, and who died May 10, 1995; brothers: Charles and Bennie Mitchell; and a sister,
Helen Crawford.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Blackwell Chapel, A.M.E. Zion Church.
The Rev. Sharon Baugh, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

Jones, Erwin F.
A memorial service for Erwin F. Jones, 93, who died on March 23, 2012, at Emeritus
of Lakewood (Loyalton), will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home,
where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
He was the husband of the late Theodora Mills Jones.
He lived in Jamestown, his working life until his retirement in 1985.
In his young adult life, he was for 15 years a sales representative for the Kraft Foods
Co. In his mid-life, he was in sales and a buyer for the Field & Wright Co. in Jamestown.
Until his retirement in 1985, he was northeastern, U.S. regional sales manager for 12
states - east of Indiana to the Atlantic Ocean, for the Essex Telecommunication Division
of United Technologies Corporation.
His son and daughter Dan Jones and Diane Carlson invite friends and family for a luncheon
at The Town Club, 210 Pine St., at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Jones, Janice Carolyn Burford
Janice Carolyn Burford Jones, 74, passed away, on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2012.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Jones of Clayton; sons: David Kent and family and Les
Kent and family; stepson, Scott Jones and family; step-daughter, Melissa Jones and

She was a giving person to all that knew her and she enjoyed life with her family to
the fullest. She will be loved and missed by all.
A celebration of her life was held Dec. 29, 2012.
Jones, William G.
William G. Jones, 70, of Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing, formerly of 919 Ivory
Road, Frewsburg, died Wednesday (May 23, 2012), at Heritage Park.
He was born March 10, 1942, in Niagara Falls, the son of William and Loretta Herzing Jones.
He was a 1960 graduate of Cameron County High School and also a graduate of Williamsport
Tech, Williamsport, Pa., where he received an associate degree, and later went on to
receive a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.
Before retiring, he was employed at Betts Industries in Warren, the former Blackstone
Corp., and had owned and operated Bill's Appliance.
He was a member of the Frewsburg Lions Club and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in
Frewsburg, where he had been an usher.
Growing up, he was an avid baseball player and all-star left-handed pitcher and later
played softball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Bill is survived by his children: Kimberly Pollock of Lewiston, Maine, and Scott Jones
of Frewsburg; two grandchildren: Joshua and Heather Pollock of Lewiston, Maine; a
great-grandson, Payson Pollock; a sister, Donna (Mark) VanDivner of Emporium, Pa.; three
nieces: Deb, Robin and Tammy; and five nephews: Ed, Ron, Gary, Tony and Chad.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Jones; and a sister, Nancy Arble.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory
Catholic Church, Frewsburg, by the Rev. Darrell Duffy, pastor of St. James, Our Lady of
Victory Oratory. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Jamestown.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. to-day in the Peterson Funeral Home
Frewsburg, where a wake service will be held at 5:45 p.m.

Joneson, Joyce E.
Joyce E. Joneson, 82, of 2906 Bentley Ave., Jamestown, died Tuesday, Nov.
2, 2011, in her home, surrounded by her loving family and The Rev. Dayle
Keefer.
She was born Jan. 19, 1929, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Howard
and Lucille Knott Carlson.
She was a 1946 graduate of Bemus Point High School.
She was employed as office manager of the family business Joneson Construction.
She attended Fluvanna Community Church, volunteered for the Fluvanna Library
and served as treasurer for Fluvanna Cemetery.
She had varied interests including gardening, oil painting, travel, animals,
singing, playing organ, crafts and building. She especially loved her family
and friends.
Surviving are four children: Tom (Cindy) Joneson of Kennedy, Lila (Dave)
Sherman of Jamestown, Kathy (Denny) Carnahan of Randolph, and Joyce (Bob)
Anderson of Jamestown; 15 grandchildren David (Michelle) Sherman, Tom Joneson,
Jassen (Kathy) Sherman, Rick (Gina) Chapman, Kris (Rick) Denslow, Amy (Luke)
Griffin, Pam (Eric) Meeder, Eric (Kristi) Chapman, Jennifer (Mark) Loomis,
Kelly (Brandt) Schmidt, Jean Horton, Eric Morrison, Kevin Hanson and Lauren
and Hillary Carnahan; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter;
and a sister, Mary Lou (Ellis) Norton.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard B.
Joneson, whom she married Sept. 8, 1946, and who died Dec. 1, 1998; and
a grandson Terry Macomb, Jr.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral
Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate.
Burial will be in Fluvanna Cemetery.

Juul, Gregory W. Sr.
FREWSBURG - Gregory W. Juul Sr., 54, of 793 Warren Road, died
Thursday (Oct. 27, 2011), at WCA Hospital.
He was born Nov. 23, 1956, in Jamestown, the son of Richard
and Norma Stevens Juul.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, and had been employed at Chautauqua
Hardware.
Greg was a member of the Sylvan Lodge, where he was past
master, Carroll Rod and Gun, Ellery Lodge 933, past president
of the Joint Veterans Council of Chautauqua County, and was very involved
with boy scouts for many years.
Besides his father, Calvin Carr of Ashville and his stepmother, Gen Juul
of Jamestown, Gregg is survived by his wife, Connie Hair Juul of Frewsburg;
five children: Gregory (Leigh) Juul Jr. of Dewittville, Joshua (Heather)
Juul of Forestville, Jeremiah, Joseph and Maggie Juul, of Frewsburg,
five grandchildren: Gregory Juul III, Jesse Juul, Joshua Juul Jr., Braden
and Adrienne Grubb, five brothers: Martin Juul of Virginia, Kevin Juul of
Frewsburg, David Carr and Daniel Marucci of Jamestown, and Leonard Marucci
of Pennsylvania; and two sisters: Kathleen Possai of Thief River Falls, Minn.,
and Amy Greenawalt of Sinclairville.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his former wife, Melinda Juul; a
son, Jacob Juul; and a grandson, Parker Juul.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Peterson Funeral Home,
Frewsburg. The Rev. Cameron Lienhart, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church,
Frewsburg, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Lakewood.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
