  Dario Vaccari, 75, of Celoron and Niagara on the Lake, 
Ontario, died Thursday (Aug. 23, 2012), as the result of 
an automobile accident in Angola, N.Y.
  He was the owner and operator of the former Pasta Etc. 
in Jamestown.
Arrangements will be announced by Powers, Present & 
Sixbey Funeral Home.

Valone-Stebbins, Julie A.
  STOW - Julie A. Valone-Stebbins, 52, died Dec. 12, 2011.
 A devoted wife and mother, she was an elementary teacher for Strongsville schools.
 She held a Master's in Gifted Education from Kent State University. 
  Julie enjoyed photography and travelling. She was an avid reader and loved 
children's books.
  Preceded in death by her father John Valone and step-son Alexander Stebbins, she 
is survived by her husband of 15 years, David; children Cameron and Maclane 
Stebbins; mother Patricia Valone of New York; sister Lisa (Joe) Troche of New York; 
brothers Kris Valone of Texas and Scott (Marion) Valone of Georgia and many nieces
 and nephews.
  Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m.
 A memorial service will be conducted Thursday 11 a.m. at Stow United Methodist 
Church, 4880 Fishcreek Road, Stow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made 
to Stow Public Library, 3512 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. 
 
Van Cise, Judith A.
  OTTO - Judith A. VanCise, 62, a retired dental hygienist 
for University of Buffalo, where she worked for years, 
died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, 
N.Y.
  She was born Feb. 14, 1949, in Gowanda, N.Y., the daughter 
of the late Richard E. and Loretta M. (Gehrke) Frank.
  Judy also worked at JN Adams and the DDSO system for over 30 
years. She was a member of the Otto Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, 
and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. A past member of the Little Valley 
Legion Auxiliary and a past Sunday school teacher for the Otto Lutheran Church.
  She is survived by two sisters: Mary J. (James) Malek of Otto, N.Y., and Kathy L. 
Frank of Cattaraugus, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by her spouse, Doyle A. "Smiley" VanCise on Aug. 10, 2001.
  Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Hills Funeral 
Chapel, 55 South St., Cattaraugus, N.Y. The Rev. Howard Warner of Immanuel Lutheran 
Church will officiate. Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery in Otto.
  Visitation will be held at the funeral chapel on Thursday (today) from 2 to 4 
and 7 to 9 p.m.

Otto NY 14766; or Immanuel Lutheran Church, Otto East Otto Road, Otto, N.Y.

Van Cise, William S. 
  William S. Van Cise, 69, of Muzzy Road, Corry, Pa., died Sunday, Nov. 
27, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Mary V. Baran Van Cise; daughters: Theresa 
Van Cise, Jacqueline Van Cise, Janet Hicks and Michelle Van Cise; son, Mark 
Van Cise; brother, Ronald Van Cise of Columbus, Pa.; eight grandchildren: one 
great-grandson. Visitation 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas the Apostle 
Roman Catholic Church, Corry, Pa., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be 
celebrated at 11 a.m.

Van Every, Robert F. 
  Robert F. Van Every, 87, of Matthews, N.C., formerly of Falconer, N.Y., passed 
away May 17, 2012.
 Robert was born Aug. 3, 1924, in Falconer, the son of John F. and Emma Van Every.
 He was a 1942 graduate of Falconer High School. He attended Alfred University 
briefly but chose to enlist in the Army and qualified for the Army Air Corps.
 He became an officer and navigator for the 456th bomb group, flying 35 successful 
missions in a B-24 squadron with the 15th Air Force in Italy during World War II. He 
received three Oak Leaf Clusters, the E.A.M.E. European Ribbon and eight stars.
 He returned to Falconer, and married his loving wife, Katherine I. Harris, in 1945.
 He worked for the Clark Supply Co. in the business department for 15 years before 
purchasing the Weeden Hardware store in 1961. He changed the business name to Falconer 
Hardware and with the hard work and friendly service of Robert, his wife and children, 
the size of the business was doubled. He also served as the Falconer Central School 
treasurer for several years.
 He became involved in local politics and served as trustee and was then elected the 
mayor of Falconer from 1962 to 1966. He was a town of Ellicott councilman from 1979 to 
1981. He served as a volunteer fireman for Falconer for more than 50 years and was a 
member of the Falconer Rotary. He was the first World War II veteran to join the 
Henry Mosher American Legion Post in Falconer, and was a member for more than 60 years.
 He was a 30-year member of the Carroll Masonic Lodge. He served as president of the New 
York State Hardware Association and served on the board of directors of the ServiStar 
Hardware Co.
  Robert was a lifelong member of the Falconer United Methodist Church and served 
in numerous capacities including as a board member for the Methodist Gardens in Falconer.
  He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife and children: son and 
daughter-in-law, Robert W. Van Every and Judith, Jamestown N.Y.; daughter and 
son-in-law, Cheryl and Jim Shedden, Beavercreek Ohio, daughter and son-in-law, 
Barbara and Reid Wilson, Charlotte N.C. and Dr. Marvin Van Every, Lacrosse Wis.; 
eight grandchildren; Jennifer (Hunter) Broadwell, Jonathan (Janna) Wilson, Alison 
(Patrick) Layman, Benjamin (Felicia) Van Every, Catie (Jason) Smoot, Mitch Shedden, 
Navy SEAL Richard Van Every and Thomas Van Every; and two great-grandchildren: Lily 
Wilson and Ava Broadwell.
 A memorial service honoring a life well lived was held at Plantation Estates in 
Matthews, N.C., and internment will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in Falconer.
 A memorial service will be held in Falconer at a future date.

VanHorn, Jennifer A. 
  Jennifer A. VanHorn, 40, of 310 Forest Ave., died, Thursday (April 26, 2012), at 
her residence.
  She was born July 25, 1971, in Jamestown, the daughter of Guy and Donna Dexter Ames 
(Ostrom). She loved and enjoyed her children.
  Besides her mother of Warren, she is survived by three sons: Colt, and Cody Holzhausen 
and Cory VanHorn of Jamestown; two brothers: Kenneth and Robert Ames of Palm Bay, 
Fla.; two sisters: Janneane Ames of Palm Bay, Fla., and Jacquelyn Jordan of 
Rockingham, N.C.; and her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Dexter of Pittsfield, 
Pa. She was predeceased by her father and stepfather, Dick Ostrom.
  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Burial
will be in Lander Cemetery, Lander, Pa.
  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

Verleni, Gust P. 
  Gust P. Verleni, 91, of 105 Front St., died Monday, March 25, 2013, in WCA Hospital.
 Coming to the United States in 1930, he was born July 12, 1921, in Verlin, Albania, 
a son of the late Perickles and Venetria Stogionedis Verleni.
  Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was employed by the former Watson Manufacturing 
as a spray finisher. He earlier had worked for Tillotson's for 19 years.
  He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Falconer Moose Lodge and 
Lakewood Rod and Gun Club.
  Surviving are four children: Vanessa (Mark) Elia of Canandaigua, N.Y., Connie (Timothy) 
Burns of Jamestown, Patricia Felton of Clarence, N.Y., and Gust (Amanda) Verleni Jr. 
of Jamestown; four grandchildren: Ellen and Michael Burns of Jamestown, and John and 
Victoria Elia of Canandaigua; a sister Agnes Spiro of Cleveland, Ohio; and two 
brothers: Dr. Thomas Verleni of Naples, Fla., and Nick Verleni of Jamestown.
  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Stergioula 
Roufos, whom he married April 27, 1958, and who died Sept. 1, 2008; and a brother, 
Vangel Verleni in 1985.
  The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. The 
Rev. George Zervos will officiate.
  Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

Verrett, Sally Ann
  Sally Ann Verrett, 72, of Jamestown, passed away Monday (May 21, 2012), peacefully 
surrounded by her family.
  She was born Dec. 11, 1939 in Bradford, Pa., the daughter of the late Harry Eugene 
and Martha Saulsgiver Johnston.
  Prior to retirement, Sally was employed by Mr. Donut Shop in Jamestown. She 
attended Ross Mills Church of God, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She 
also enjoyed playing bingo and bowling.
 Surviving are eight children: Cindy (Butch) Fish, with whom she made her home, 
Peggy (Herman) Williams of Jamestown, Kathy Bunker of Falconer, Scott (Dawn) 
Verrett of Jamestown, Martha (Bob) Skinner of Sinclairville, Judy Verrett (Tom) 
of Jamestown, Dan (Elaine) Verrett of Pittsburgh, Pa., Pam Verrett (Bob) of 
Jamestown; 34 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; 
two brothers: Robert E. Johnston of Jamestown, and Terry A. Johnston of Bemus 
Point; two sisters: Betty S. Rhodes of Jamestown, and Patricia J. Hayes of Ellington.
 Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Verrett; two 
great-grandchildren: Hope Norman and Andrew Munday; and her companion of 38 
years, George Parsons.
 The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Fal-coner Funeral Home. The Rev. 
David Olson, pastor of Ross Mills Church of God, will officiate. Inurnment will 
be in Ross Mills Cemetery.
 Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday.
 Memorials may be donated to the Sinclairville Fire Department.
