Imus, Brenda (Wilson)
Brenda W. Imus, 61, of Swanson Hill Road, Kennedy, N.Y.,
passed away Saturday (March 23, 2013), at UPMC in Pittsburgh,
Pa.
Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and
friend. She was an advocate for the sound and humane treatment
of gaited horses and devoted her life to the
education of horse owners and lovers all over the country. In
between travelling around the country to horse venues and expos to
serve as an invited clinician to teach her principles. She authored
and published five books including "Gaits of Gold" and, most recently,
The "Gaited Horse Bible."" Brenda also invented and developed her
own ground-breaking line of horse saddles and bits which were designed to provide
comfort to horses in a way that was never before considered. Her legacy to her four
legged-friends and their owners will live on long after her passing.
She was a lifetime member of Friends of Sound Horses and FOE Aerie 2145. Besides
her personal and professional passion for horses, she enjoyed reading, writing, and
prided herself on her poker skills.
Brenda's easy smile, gut-busting laugh and propensity to pull practical jokes will
be greatly missed.
Brenda was born June 8, 1951, and was a 1969 graduate of Falconer High School. She
was preceeded in death by her mother, Betty Pierce; her father, Manley Mills; her twin
brother, Bruce Wilson; and her "second parents," uncle and aunt Harold and Neva Carlson.
She is survived by four children: Antonia (Paul Lanphear) Cotton, Charlie Imus, Zack
(Brooke) Imus, and Jamie (Josh) Evan; three grandchildren: Charlanna (James) Johnson,
Jordan Lanphear and Sophie Evan; three great-grandchildren: Jamirra, Javette, and
Javonni Johnson; a brother, James Snyder; and a sister, Beatrice Lindahl.
Visitation will be held at Falconer Funeral Home, Falconer, N.Y., on Thursday,
March 28, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will follow directly after.

Ingrao, Anthony J.
Anthony J. Ingrao, 87, of 8265 Hirschwood Drive, Williamsville,
N.Y., formerly of 1369 Newland Ave., Jamestown, died Saturday
December 31, 2011, in Harris Hill Nursing Home, Williamsville.
He was born March 1, 1924, in Jamestown, a son of the late
Nicolo and Concetta Inserra Ingrao.
Prior to his retirement he owned and operated Ingrao's Radio
and TV Store. He earlier had worked for the former Art Metal Inc.
He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was an altar server for many years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he earned his 4th Degree and served
as Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator. His other memberships included the Optimist
Club and The Resource Center Board of Directors.
Surviving are three children: Connie (John) Taddio of Henderson, Nev., Anthony (Mary
Frances) Ingrao, Jr. of Matthews, N.C., and Richard (Rosario) Ingrao of Williamsville;
nine grandchildren: Mary Beth (Matthew) Freitas of Hamburg, N.Y., Trisha (Joseph)
Montesano of Henderson, Nev., Julie (Daniel) DeGolier of Henderson, Nev., Jeffrey
Ingrao of Matthews, N.C., Jason Ingrao of Ft. Myers, Fla., Nicholas (Mary Ann) Ingrao
of Angola, N.Y., Nina Ingrao of Towanda, Pa., Nathan Ingrao of Jamestown and Matthew
Ingrao of Williamsville, N.Y., a step grandson Edgar Ibarra of St. Augustine, Fla.,
and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife the former Sarah Foti, whom he married June 12,
1943, and who died July 2, 2008; seven brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. James
Catholic Church. The Rev. John L. Kuhlmann will be celebrant.
Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home
where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 3:30 p.m.

Inserra, Concetta (Lisciandro)
Concetta (Lisciandro) Inserra of Jamestown, N.Y., died Jan. 10, 2012, at the age
of 92. She had also recently resided at her grandson's Richard (Kerri) Inserra
and also at David (DJ) Eppolito's of Eden.
Beloved wife of the late Samuel Inserra. Loving mother of Richard Inserra; sister
of Ann (Joseph) Gullo, Mary (Julius) Cusimano and the Casima (Jim) Bonfiglio, Frances
(Joseph) Ferrari, Sam (Beatrice) Lisciandro, John (Mary) Lisciandro, Charles (Mary
Alice) Lisciandro, Josephine (Joseph) Eppolito and Leonard and Joseph Lisciandro.
Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wentland Funeral Home, 10634
Main St., (Route 62) North Collins, N.Y., where funeral services will be held Saturday
morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from Scared Heart of
Mary Church, North Collins, N.Y.

Ireland, Margaret P.
October 17, 2011, Margaret P. Ireland, 83, of 10 Rock Hill Road, Panama, passed away
at 7:18 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, in WCA Hospital.
A lifelong area resident she was born June 23, 1928, in Bear Lake, Pa., a daughter
of the late Alec and Ruth Chandler Perkins.
She was a graduate of the Panama Central School class of 1946 and attended Jamestown
Business College.
Before her retirement in 1993, she was employed by the Panama Central School as
secretary to the high school principal for 21 years.
Prior to that, she was secretary to the chief engineer at Jamestown Metal
Corporation for 13 years.
She was a member of the Panama United Methodist Church for over 55 years.
Surviving are four sons: John R. (Donna) Ireland of Jamestown; Jack D. (Keith)
Ireland of Youngstown, Ohio; Jerrold W. (Pamala) Ireland; and Jeffrey J. (Brenda)
Ireland, both of Panama; a daughter, Ann M. (Shawn) Schnars of Panama; 11
grandchildren: Alicia Smith of Sumter, S.C.; Michael Ireland of Los Angeles,
Calif.; Jessica Keefer and Erica Hartnett, both of Jamestown; Jamie Ireland of
Grand Island, N.Y.; Erin Miller of Black Lick, Ohio; Greg Ireland, J. Bryce
Ireland, Devin Ireland, Kylie Schnars and Donovan Schnars all of Panama;
six great-grandchildren: Mel Eggleston, Cameryn Eggleston, Chase Hartnett and
Aiden Keefer all of Jamestown; Corinne Ireland of Grand Island and Liam Smith
of Sumter, S.C.; a sister, Jane Nagel of Panama and two sisters-in-law:
Vivian Perkins of Conneaut Lake, Pa. and Norrine Perkins of Charlottesville,
Va. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jarvis E. Ireland,
whom she married March 27, 1948, and who died February 27, 2003; three brothers:
Leo Perkins who was killed during World War II in 1944; Marvin Perkins who died
in 2002 and Alec Perkins Jr. who died in 2006; a sister Martha Ann Zouck who
died in 2005 and a granddaughter Bethany Ireland who died in 1976.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Panama United Methodist
Church.
The Rev. Steven Taylor, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Panama Union Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
